Unipart’s fundraising sees over £6,000 for local Oxfordshire charity

Employees at Unipart’s head office in Oxford took part in a number of activities throughout the year to raise the money for SeeSaw, a charity providing grief support for children in Oxfordshire.

Deborah Astles, HR Director, Corporate Responsibility & Policy at Unipart Group said:“I’m really proud of all the hard work our Events For You group have put in to fundraising for this charity. We’ve had many events taking place through the year and the passion and commitment from the group has been phenomenal.”

SeeSaw will put the money raised towards new Volunteer Support Worker training to provide more assistance for young people in need.

SeeSaw’s corporate fundraiser, Jane Elliott said: “SeeSaw was thrilled when staff at Unipart voted us their Charity of the Year 2016. Employees organised inspiring fundraising events and raised the staggering sum of £6323. This significant donation will directly support Oxfordshire’s bereaved children and young people helping them face the future with hope”.

Every year a charity of the year is picked and this year those in the Unipart site in Oxford will be fundraising for three local charities including: Archway Foundation, Oxfordshire Mind and Oxfordshire Young Diabetics.
