Unipart Rail hosts first Sustainability Conference

Unipart Rail hosted its first Sustainability Conference, with over 70 guests attending the event, featuring speakers from Unipart Rail and Unipart Group, alongside guest speakers from The Supply Chain Sustainability School and Ethstat Social Enterprise

The Supply Chain Sustainability School hosted an interactive workshop for attendees which enabled them to understand the different sources and impacts of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions and challenged them to create a strategic plan for reducing their emissions.

Unipart Rail also showcased a series of sustainable product demonstrations, all designed to support decarbonisation and improve performance.

Liz Hancock, Unipart Rail Head of Health Safety and Environment, said: “This event provided the perfect opportunity for us to engage with our customers, stakeholders and internal colleagues, to raise awareness of the sustainable activities and practices that are embedded in our culture across the Unipart Group of companies, to highlight areas where we are substantially reducing our carbon footprint, and to support them on their sustainability journeys.

“We had very positive feedback from delegates and are already receiving requests for us to help them with their own sustainable journeys.”

The success of the conference demonstrates sustainability as a key priority for Unipart Rail that will feature in all relationships with customers and suppliers.
