Oxford team raises £9000 for hospice

Unipart’s community team at Oxford ‘adopted’ Maggie’s House, a local hospice, as their charity of the year.

Through a range of events including dress down days, cake sales, breakfast with Santa for children of members of staff, an Aunt Sally night, dragon boat racing at Abingdon…even an Oxford City Ghost Walk, the team raised £9000 for the charity.

The Unipart House Community Group includes Deborah Astles, Bob Timbs, Hayley Dry, Sarah Clare, Penny Clark, Monika Wolosz, James Vaughan, Alison Watkins, David Adams and Gemma Fletcher from Oxford City Council.

Corporate Affairs Director Frank Nigriello, who is the community champion on the Group Executive Committee, said: “We’re so proud of the Unipart House Community Group. Barely a month goes by without some form of fundraising or activity.”

“They’ve brought a great sense of fun and commitment to Unipart House and have raised a huge amount for a charity that has touched the lives of many of our Unipart family and friends.”
