Fund raisers score goal for two charities in Rugby World Cup events

The Rugby World Cup was on home turf this autumn and the Events for U Team at Unipart House wanted to make the most of this opportunity to have a fun and fundraise at the same time.

For the Rugby World Cup charity events, Unipart people in Oxford raised funds for two charities with monies being split 50/50 between:

Rosy’s – Respite nursing for Oxfordshire’s Sick Youngers http://www.rosy.org.uk (Unipart’s nominated charity in Oxford for the 2015)

Wooden Spoon – the children’s charity of rugby who fund life-changing projects across the UK and Ireland to support disadvantaged and disabled children https://www.woodenspoon.org.uk.

The total sum raised was £1,881.00.

Events that took place included:

A dress down day on each of the Fridays during the tournament – a total of 7.

A raffle and the Rugby World Cup Predictor which allowed everyone to have a chance at taking part.

The Art Room also joined in by offering Scrum Dine With Me throughout the tournament and provided various different international foods on the menu.
