Books sale raises £225 for Seesaw

The Events for U team have confirmed that the recent Book and DVD sale raised an impressive £225.87.

SeeSaw was established in 2000 to meet the needs of bereaved children and young people in Oxfordshire. Since then we have supported over 4300 children, young people and their families.

Many children and young people are offered face-to-face support from one of our support workers. SeeSaw pioneered the recruitment and training of volunteer support workers who visit children in their own homes. An important aspect of this work is that children are seen out of school time.

At the end of the week there was still quite a pile of books and these have been donated to Helen & Douglas House (hospice – providing hospice and palliative care to children and young adults in Oxfordshire and surrounding counties) charity book shop. So money from the sale of these books and DVDs will go to help another local children’s charity.
