6 Nations Dress Down Day Raises over £400 for Maggie’s Oxford

Fundraising for Maggie’s Oxford has got off the ground with £410 being raised in just one day. For Unipart House’s first Dress Down Day this year, the theme was the 6 Nations Rugby, with colleagues wearing their favourite team’s Rugby shirts. A further £200 was raised by colleagues who gave samples of blood to a medical research company – the monies they received was then donated to our nominated charity.

This is just the first of a number of fundraising events planned for 2014 to support this deserving charity. Unipart Group is aiming to raise £15,000 for Maggie’s Oxford.

Maggie’s is a charity with centres located in the grounds of major NHS cancer hospitals, offering support that people with cancer, and their friends and relatives, desperately need. Maggie’s believe that professional, emotional and psychological support can change the way people live with cancer, helping them to become active participants in their treatment, take back control of their lives and not lose the ‘joy of living in the fear of dying’.Enter your article content here…
