UTL, the part of Unipart Group that provides logistics and value added services to the mobile, media and consumer sectors, is pleased to announce that following a successful audit the Fleet operated and managed on behalf of their customer Sky has been Van Excellence Accredited by the Freight Transport Association (FTA)…
UTL provides a wide range of services to Sky, including forward and reverse logistics, recycling services, set top box repair and fleet management supporting over 2900 Sky engineers.
The FTA’s auditors checked UTL‘s processes against the Van Excellence Code, a best practice standard developed with many of the UK’s best van fleets. It looks at maintenance and repair standards, roadworthiness, licence checking, vehicle specifications and how the vehicle is operated on a day-to-day basis.
