Unipart wins top award for transport and logistics safety

30 April 2020 – For a third consecutive year, Unipart Logistics has won two Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) awards for outstanding workplace safety.

Unipart Logistics is part of Unipart Group, the largest independent manufacturing, logistics and consultancy company. Its distribution centres at Nuneaton and Honeybourne have received the awards in the Transport & Logistics Sector for health and safety performance in 2019.

Nuneaton went on to achieve the highly commended award in the Transport & Logistics Sector.

Organisations receiving a RoSPA Award are recognised as being world-leaders in health and safety practice. Every year, nearly 2,000 entrants seek to achieve the highest possible accolade in what are the UK’s longest-running H&S industry awards.

RoSPA award winners will be presented at an annual awards ceremony scheduled for September 2020.

Frank Burns, Unipart Logistics Managing Director, said: “The safety of our people and our customers is our top priority. Right now that’s incredibly important as we continue to deliver essential services for our customers and we acted quickly to introduce social distancing safety measures ahead of government guidelines, but we have always embedded health and safety into our culture of being a strong, performance-orientated business, as these RoSPA awards show.”

Unipart’s relentless pursuit of excellence in health and safety also saw the company win two British Safety Council Swords of Honour last year, taking the overall tally to a record 55 ‘Swords’ since 2011.
