Unipart selects Mind as a charity of choice for 2026

Unipart has selected Mind, the leading mental health charity in England and Wales, as a charity of choice for 2026.

Mind provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. It campaigns to improve services, raise awareness, and promote understanding, pledging to not give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect.

There are currently 1.6 million people on mental health waiting lists in England, with 1 in 4 people experiencing a mental health problem each year.

This official selection of Mind as a charity of choice will not only help Unipart to deliver its mental wellbeing agenda, but also provide opportunities for Unipart colleagues to volunteer in their own communities which will deepen their understanding of challenges faced and further reinforce Unipart’s zero harm initiative. This will build on Unipart’s recently-awarded third consecutive British Safety Council Treble for safety, wellbeing, and sustainability.

This collaboration builds on strong pre-existing support of Mind from Unipart colleagues, who have previously championed Mind’s mission through Unipart’s annual Big Charity Challenge, demonstrating a long-standing, collective dedication to ensuring no one in our communities has to face a mental health problem alone.

Claire Burgess, Unipart Head of Health and Wellbeing, said: “Our collaboration with Mind is so vital because their experts treat people as individuals rather than statistics. They go the extra mile to deliver care that truly understands local needs. Having previously supported Mind through our Big Charity Challenge, we have seen first hand the difference their work makes.

“This Mental Health Awareness Week, we are proud to deepen that connection and make sure our colleagues and communities have the life changing support they need to live happier and healthier lives.”

Darren Leigh, Unipart Chief Executive Officer, said: “Unipart’s ambition to be the driving force behind efficient, resilient, and sustainable supply chains is only possible if our people are supported to thrive. Our colleagues are our greatest asset, and this collaboration with Mind is a testament to our ‘Employee First’ commitment.

By embedding mental health awareness and support deeper into our operations with the support of Mind’s experts, we are ensuring that our ‘Zero Harm’ approach continues to apply as much to psychological safety as it does to physical safety.”
