Unipart ranked sixth in the Thames Valley 250, an annual list compiled by The Business Magazine celebrating the top privately-owned businesses in the region.
The last year has seen Unipart build significantly on its role as a global supply chain performance improvement partner, with strong growth and expansion across multiple sectors.
In 2024, Unipart celebrated 50 years since the inception of the Unipart brand, and in March this year announced 2024 turnover was up 3.2% year on year at £1,081.1m.
Last year, Unipart made two key strategic acquisitions. The former Schaeffler Rail Bearing reconditioning business in Auburn, New South Wales, was acquired to enhance Unipart’s rail offering in Australia, and Formaplex Technologies now rebranded to Unipart Polymer and Composite Solutions, was acquired to bolster Unipart’s UK manufacturing capabilities.
Unipart also expanded into two new territories in Vietnam and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, both crucial global supply chain hubs.
Unipart Chief Executive, Darren Leigh, said: “In a region buzzing with innovation, we’re proud to be ranked sixth among the top privately-owned businesses, on such a prestigious list alongside many other businesses we already work with.
“There is immense economic potential in the Thames Valley, and I look forward to building more strategic partnerships to drive our mutual growth. Thank you to all my colleagues who work so hard every day to ensure only the highest-quality service is provided to each of our customers.”
