Unipart has achieved a Silver medal from EcoVadis in recognition of its ongoing impact performance and progress.
The EcoVadis assessment evaluates 21 sustainability criteria across four core themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. More than 130,000 companies globally have been rated by the platform, which serves as the trusted standard for evaluating business sustainability and social impact.
In the latest rating, Unipart achieved an all-time high score of 80/100. This achievement represents an 11-point increase from the company’s previous Bronze rating, placing Unipart in the top 15% of companies rated over the past year. The independent rating provides trusted visibility into Unipart’s sustainable practices, helping partners understand their supply chain impact and take confident steps toward measurable progress.
Andy Pyne, Unipart Chief Sustainability Officer, said: “By assessing our performance through EcoVadis, the global standard for resilient, sustainable supply chains, we are ensuring visibility into our business practices, helping us understand our impact and confidently take steps toward measurable progress.
“As a supply chain performance improvement partner, our ambition is to be the driving force behind efficient, resilient, and sustainable supply chains. This milestone reflects our commitment to world-class environmental, safety, and wellbeing standards, which are at the core of our operations. By using The Unipart Way to continuously drive operational efficiencies, we will keep improving performance for our partners to save time, cost, and carbon.”
EcoVadis’ independent sustainability ratings are based on international sustainability standards such as the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, the International Labour Organisation (ILO) conventions, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, and the ISO 26000 standard.
