Two Unipart construction solutions have received major industry recognition for advancing industrialised construction across complex building and infrastructure programmes.

Wates presented Unipart with its Supply Chain Award for Innovation and Technology for the multi-storey MEP frames deployed across a major public sector infrastructure build.

The solution has also been shortlisted for Best use of MEP technology at the 2026 Offsite Awards.

The modular riser solution combines advanced digital design, offsite manufacturing, and coordinated logistics to improve installation accuracy, reduce on-site labour, and increase programme certainty.

On the programme recognised by Wates, teams installed up to 16 risers per day. The optimised stainless-steel design also reduced module weight and material use, supporting safer handling and improved carbon performance.

Manufactured Reinforcement System (MRS) was also named Most Transformational Innovation at the UK Division of VINCI Construction’s Innovation Awards. Selected from 211 submissions, the award recognised a prototype modular retaining-wall system developed with the support of Taylor Woodrow, part of the BBVS team – a joint venture comprising Balfour Beatty, VINCI Construction, and SYSTRA – at HS2’s Old Oak Common Station.

The solution addresses the needs of a highly constrained and operationally challenging site installation.

Dave Allen, General Manager, Unipart Construction Solutions, said: “These awards show how industrialised construction can turn innovation into measurable programmes and customer benefits. By adopting advanced digital design, modular solutions, and offsite manufacturing, our partners can improve productivity, reduce carbon, and gain greater delivery control, while helping move the wider construction industry forward.”

Unipart is supporting the construction industry to build faster, more sustainably, and with greater control by combining advanced digital design, UK-based manufacturing, integrated logistics, and consultancy.
