Unipart achieved three five-star ratings from the British Safety Council (BSC), in its Environmental Sustainability, Occupational Health and Safety, and Workplace Wellbeing audits.
Unipart was awarded the highest possible rating in its Environmental Sustainability audit, validating its highly-effective, integrated approach to environmental management.
In its Occupational Health and Safety audit, Unipart received a robust evaluation of its management systems, guided by its ‘Zero Harm’ policy.
Additionally, a Wellbeing audit recognised Unipart’s excellence in providing comprehensive mental health support, including mental health first aiders, and noted its exemplary safeguarding protocols.
This recognition follows Unipart receiving a Distinction in the International Safety Awards for the 12th consecutive year, earlier this year in June, which recognised Unpart’s “unwavering commitment to excellence in health, safety, and wellbeing management.”
Andy Pyne, Unipart Chief Sustainability Officer, said: “We are delighted to have achieved these five-star ratings from the British Safety Council across all areas of the business. They signify an outstanding recognition of the company’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards.
“By taking a proactive and dedicated approach, we are continuously improving our sustainability and safety practices. Our ongoing efforts effectively reduce harm, manage risk, and help us exceed best practice indicators, maintaining our status as a leader in sustainability, health, safety, and wellbeing. Thank you to all our colleagues who work so hard every day to ensure these standards are met.”
Darren Leigh, Unipart Chief Executive Officer, said: “In order to provide our customers with the exceptional service they expect from us we must ensure the highest standards in everything we do. This recognition from the British Safety Council reflects our dedication to maintaining the safety, wellbeing and sustainability standards across our business for the benefit of colleagues, customers and visitors.”
Mike Robinson, Chief Executive of British Safety Council, said: “Huge congratulations to Unipart on its achievements. The British Safety Council applauds Unipart for reaching new levels in keeping their workplace safe and healthy and contributing to safeguarding the environment. We are proud to support them in this and delighted we can contribute to their ongoing success. Unipart shows a commitment and willingness to achieve the uppermost standards, and we thank them for also contributing to achieving our vision that no-one should be injured or made ill through their work.”
In July Unipart published its Sustainability Report, a comprehensive reporting framework and a critical step in Unipart driving towards its ambition of building resilient, sustainable, efficient supply chains.
