Unipart Group, one of Europe’s leading manufacturing, logistics and consultancy companies, hosted a special Breakfast with Santa event on 19 December to raise money for SeeSaw, which gives grief support for children in Oxfordshire.
The event, now in its third year, was held at the company’s headquarters in Oxford. Nearly a hundred children and adults descended to their restaurant, The Art Room, where they enjoyed a delicious freshly made breakfast. They then joined festive elves to welcome Santa himself to Unipart House.
Along with meeting Santa, they also got the chance to colour in a Christmas tree decoration and decorate gingerbread men. The proceeds of this event raised around £300 for SeeSaw.
Deborah Astles, HR Director, Corporate Responsibility & Policy at Unipart Group said: “We’re delighted to be once again arranging this popular event to raise money for such an important local charity. We empower our colleagues through the year to fundraise and work in their local communities as we believe that in business you can do well by doing good.”
A spokesperson from SeeSaw said: “The lovely staff at Unipart have been fundraising all year for SeeSaw, for which we are hugely grateful. This lovely festive occasion will bring families together and make special memories that they will remember for years to come. The funds raised will help us to continue to provide the best possible support for children, young people and their families following a major bereavement.”
This year, Unipart Group received 100%, the highest rating possible, in the Business in the Community 2016 Corporate Responsibility Index – the UK’s leading benchmark of responsible business. The company also received a national award for Wellbeing at Work award in the Business in the Community’s 2016 Responsible Business Awards.
