Colin Moore – Managing Director Unipart Security Solutions Ltd (USS)
Colin is a retired Police Officer and has held several high profile positions including, Security Director, Federal Express, Head of Global Security, Tibbet and Britten and Head of Security DHL Exel Supply chain. He is also Head of Security for Unipart Group. The experience Colin gained as an end user and buyer of security services gives him the ability to understand how a client’s security provision should dovetail with operational requirements and deliver against their expectations. Colin is a long-term member of the FDSA and has been instrumental in improving the security industry standards, assisting with the creation of new legislation and procedures.
Andrew Hayes – Operations Director
A former Detective from West Midlands Police, Andrew came to the company with over 35 years security related work experience, including spells as Head of Security for Amtrak, DHL and was European Security Manager for Kuehne + Nagel. Andrew takes on the challenge of continuous improvement behind ‘Security – the
Andrew is responsible for ensuring that all the necessary support is provided in the delivery of service agreed between our companies. He has overall responsibility within the operational centre for the maintenance of standards, not only those set by USS but those set by BS 7499 - the Code of Practice introduced by the British Security Industry Association - and ISO 9001. He is also heading up the team building the new USS ARC.
Peter Wilkins –Operations Director
John Gerard-Pearse – Financial Controller
John joined USS in 2009, bringing with him extensive experience from within the security industry. He is responsible for all aspects of invoicing, cost control and financial analysis of USS’s performance.
Sara Pinnington – Human Resources Manager
Sara joined USS from Unipart Group and has been instrumental in establishing the company’s procedures. She heads up the team responsible for recruitment, screening, employee relations, training, continuous improvement and ensuring that Security Officers meet the required licensing criteria. She also takes responsibility for transferring employees when USS has won new contracts, giving her extensive TUPE experience.
Les Ramsden – Sales Manager Monitoring Services
Les has been with USS from the beginning having been in the security industry for 25 years. He has come to specialise in the Electronic Monitoring side of the Security Industry. With a reputation for ensuring his customers receive the best service possible, Les has the experience to be able to advise a new customer on the best way to improve their current security provision. He is also the best person to speak to about USS’s new ARC!
Ashley Holland – Sales Manager Manned Guarding
Ashley joined USS in 2009 looking for a new challenge, following a successful career working for some of the largest names in the industry. He brings with him extensive knowledge within the Manned Guarding sector which he can pass on and utilise when speaking with new customers, to ensure they receive an improved service.
Peter Ball – Sales Manager Manned Guarding
Peter is USS’s newest recruit, joining USS in January 2010. As with all our key staff, he has a strong knowledge of the industry enabling him to speak with new customers about how USS can provide a different, improved service.
